Playing on Public Stupidity

just donIt was difficult to not chuckle watching Barack Obama speaking after the primary in Indiana. It’s common for campaigns to shape the scenery around a candidate prior to a speaking engagement, but the Abercrombie Boys provided classic point-and-laugh imagery.

This time Obama’s conceptual strategery is undoubtedly providing fuel to the conspiracy fire. Turns out he’s not too hip on political correctness after all. Who knew? Granted, it will probably never hit the MSM (nor will this), and maybe it isn’t noteworthy. To them, hypocrisy by the left generally isn’t.

Strickland

Some recent state governing has been offsetting the sadness of the Federal level for the past few months, thanks to Ted Strickland working closely with conservatives. After Ohio was sued by the Ohio Tobacco Prevention Foundation because they weren’t given any of the money the state got from a settlement with tobacco companies, the governor signed legislation to abolish the organization. Most of that money will go to a much-needed new state jobs fund. Of course, it isn’t all good news for private businesses, as the smoking ban fines are doubling. That probably won’t matter much since many of the businesses who were affected by the ban have either closed shop or utilized some sort of outside patio for smokers. Some bars are standing up for their rights and still fighting the good fight.

Thanks to a new bill in the works, Ohioans can rest easy when blowing criminals’ heads off. Strickland will more than likely sign legislation expanding CCW laws, protecting gun owners from being sued by intruders and a few other pointless regulations regarding guns in cars. It’s been fittingly labeled the “Castle Doctrine,” and what a sweet sound those words make.

Strickland has officially made it impossible for me to lump every Democrat into the category of “liberal that loves to complain, offers no solutions and rejects and judges someone’s every move because they are a member a different group.”

Four months in, and this pretty much sums up my attitude about 2008 thus far… (pause music—>)

It All Makes Sense Now

“Did you know the man [Rose] is as bald as a coot and wears hair extensions? He also wears a bandana to cover his bald crown.”

Not that I have room to talk, but Axl Rose wearing spandex Daisy Dukes and a bandana really made no sense. Speaking of, I need to add some GNR to my play list….
